Don't be afraid to be fragile, sensitive, vulnerable.
A composition by Nina.
NINA: My grand-father used to travel a lot and had an old Nikkorma that he always carried with him in his adventures. As a child, it fascinated me. It meant freedom. My parents also always encouraged me to draw, write, and to listen to my imagination. They showed me how important it is not to be afraid to dream, to try different things, and do what I love. I could hardly choose a precise moment on when it clicked. It feels more like it always had to be that way : creating things, trying to transform what I feel and what I see into objects, words or images was always a part of me, it just evolved, changed and grew up through time.
NINA: To stay free, alive and to love. My career path as an artist is intertwined with my personal life. My creativity is fed by abandoning myself to the sincerity that I am given by the people I observe, the sounds I hear, or the colors I see. It’s very important not to be afraid to be fragile, to be sensitive, vulnerable.Being vulnerable is the most honest way to create, the most heroic way to live one's life too.
NINA: Let go. Trust yourself. Trust your strengths and your weaknesses. They are both equally important.
